Welcome Instructions

Welcome!

The goal of This Next Breath is to help you develop a satisfying daily breath practice. Here are the first guiding principles. You will learn more soon. Happy voyage.

Practice Happy.
Love your Breath.
Listen to the moment.
Respond spontaneously.
Never miss a day.

What you practice gets stronger.
What you focus on gets bigger.
What you keep doing is who you become.

It's all about habits.
Get to the stage of Momentum.

1. Scroll down and look at all the files in the course. There are instructional videos. The daily "Lessons" are audio files because your eyes are closed.

Watch the How To Videos (if you need to.) The sequence is easy, once you know how. If you know breathing practices well, you might be able to go immediately to the Lessons.

Techincal Tip: down load the audio recordings to your phone or laptop. Sometimes when listening directly on wifi, there might be interruptions. Better to have your practice uninterrupted. You have permission to share these recordings with a spouse or significant other. It is great if you could practice together. Please don't give away or sell these recordings beyond your significant other.

2. Download the Practice Calendar. Hang it on your wall as a reminder and motivational tool. Keep a record of your formal 25+ minute practices. It might sound silly, but these visual aids and checking off the days have proven helpful for hundreds of students. Make a firm commitment to yourself to get in 30 days in a row and to not to miss a day. Consistency is the key to establishing a new healthy habit.

3. Reminders are invaluable. We recommend that you put Post-It notes around your house, the bathroom mirror, your car and your desk to remind you to do a a short breath check in many times a day. It is the ultimate goal of the course. The Post-It notes might say: "This...Next...Breath" or "Inhale slowly.... lengthen the exhale" “What you practice gets stronger” or it could be one of phrases from this course or one of the Inspirational Daily Quotes that are sent to your phone. Change your Post-It notes and put them in different places. Keep it fresh.

4. Teleconferencing. Connect with Tom and others who love this practice. It is easier to learn with a group of people who are doing what you are doing.

5. If you are new to breathing practices, watch the instructional videos, begin your first practice with Lesson One audio file "Language of the Body." Be sure you study the Video files on each breath practice well enough to understand the verbal instructions of the audio practice.

6. Sometimes there are posts breath research and inspiration on Facebook and Instagram.

7. Be sure to read Tom's Blog.

8. Tom would love to personally connect with each and everyone who sincerely wants to grow a breath practice. Please text him first at 401-499-4942
